Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that it willpublish two proposed rules this week. One of the rules proposes to extendemployment authorization to the dependent spouses of certain H-1B workers.In a press release dated May 6, 2014, DHS stated, “The change proposed byDHS, would allow H-4 dependent spouses of certain H-1B nonimmigrant workersto request employment authorization, as long as the H-1B worker has alreadystarted the process of seeking lawful permanent residence through employment.”

版上有位同学问我加急EAD的经验，今天下午有空，就写点给大家吧。纯属个人感觉和个人经历，要是不准确，大家莫怪。
我感觉上，不管是何种类型的EAD（eg. 485，J2，OPT），你都是可以申请加急的，我在网上看到的绝大部分人，都是加急成功的。确实也看到有人说申请加急以后更慢了，但是没有详情。总之申请加急的同学有个思想准备，成功率不是百分百。
一般来说，你应该打电话去要求加急，tier1的人会问你符合那种条件，你根据你自己的情况选，一般来说，是Severe financial loss to company or individual。 接下来你会获得一个case number，客服会让你等ＵSCIS给你寄信，里面有instruction on how to submit supporting documents。我知道有人是收到的email，有人是收到的letter，我家是收到的letter。
有了USCIS的信，你就按照信里的要求去做，一般需要写一个情文并茂的信，解释你为什么特别需要EAD加急。然后提供proof，比如有starting date的offer letter。很多时候，email或者fax材料以后，很快EAD就能批。有很多当天就批了。
接下来分享一下我家的一些情况。
在美国硕士毕业之后OPT工作然后H1B工作至今，首次回国，发现EAD卡原卡再也找不到了，只有复印件，请问反签H1B必须要有EAD卡原卡吗？
