My friend used it. It was 220$ from boston to shanghai, but not included any fee that was required by China Custom. You can not imagine how hard and how much time to spend to finish all the things what Chinese Custom need. Finally she were charged another 2000RMB by Shanghai custom. She suggested me not to do same thing because it was a real trouble to do with the custom.
I hear some shipping companies not only do shipping but also do the things needed by chinese custom. So they charge much more than 220$, but it really save you a lot of time and trouble.

海运，买一个立方米的集装箱，不管重量，直管体积.但一般只有靠海的大城市才有，象纽约city或加州那，华人多的地方

I guess DC has, but much less than NYC. In Boston they ship to NYC first and then ship to China.

谢谢楼上们的好多建议。另外请问一下，有什么办法能使入中国方面的费用和周折降低呢？因为一个集装箱太有诱惑力了，N年积累的书和衣物实在不适合用UPS\FEDEX等。 另个，请问楼上，你所说的some shipping companies有没可以推荐的呢？ 谢谢
