DS 156 #8, 9
I just filled out the online DS 156 for my sister. I entered "None" for both # 8 and # 9. After the pdf file was generated, I found the following on the 3rd page before the bar code:
FILTERED NAMES
Names that an applicant has almost certainly entered in error such as 'NONE' or 'NA' have been removed
by the EVAF software from the data in the 2D barcode. In the unlikely event that an applicant has a name
like 'None' or 'NA', you will have to enter the name in NIV or RDS manually. The following names have
been filtered:
- 'None' was removed from the 2D barcode for Item 8 (Other Surnames Used)
- 'None' was removed from the 2D barcode for Item 9 (Other First and Middle Names Used)

后来到使馆加上了个N/A,手写的。
个人觉得，北京对表的要求一点都不严，现改都没事。沈阳比较变态，说法特多。。

这样的DS-156表能用吗? 出现FILTERED NAMES
我在网上填完DS-156时第8项和第9项都写的None， 上海领事馆主页上要求不能空着。
最后生成的表格的第三页有这样的话
FILTERED NAMES
When 'NONE' or 'NA'Names are entered into any of the following the fields:'Other Surnames Used','Other First and Middle Names Used'and 'National Identification Number',the text will be removed by the EVAF software from the data in the 2D barcode.If the appliant's name actually is None or NA the post must enter the name manually into NIV or RDS.The following names have
