You can get a H1B visa in the UK embassy, but the tough part is to get a US visa interview appointment. i worked in London for 2 months with a work/resident permit from UK Home office (it's like the UK short term H1B and different from the visitor visa) and managed to get a US visa interview and visa while i was there. If you only have a short term visitor visa, the US embassy there may not give you an interview appointment. Not to say that's impossible, but be sure to call them first!

这就是我的问题啊，没有H1Bstamp在我的护照上，我是不是就不能拿到英国签证了？另外H1Bstamp是啥呀？是在入关的时候移民官给我贴在护照上的么（想学生时期的I94），还是我H1B批准以后就带的？谢谢
