A question about 身份证. 3X!

I am going to apply H-1B VISA (Fan3 Qian1) at ShangHai soon. 我的身份证早已过期, and of cousre I cannot find my 身份证 any more。预约签证时告诉了接线员身份证号码(based on the number on my Passport)，但网上填156时我没有填身份证号码。Is this a problem
? Should I hand-write my 身份证号码 on the printed 156 form? Or should I re-fill an online 156 form to include my 身份证号码?
