爸妈成都B2一签通过

一、背景

2009年，父母第一次在成都签证，我当时还在读书，有些大意，材料也精心准备了，但没有仔细告诉父母怎么签证。父母签证被拒。

去年开始在另一个大学任教，邀请父母过来。准备材料如下。所有材料电子邮件发回去，让父母黑白打印出来装在一个塑料文件夹里的。

老家那边乡下没有房产证，只有集体土地建设使用证。

二、材料

（一）网上填的DS160表，网上在中信银行缴费收据。

（二）材料清单

下面这个材料清单（1页）是附在给签证官的信后面的。

Dear Visa Officer,

This is firstname1 lastname1 and firstname2 lastname2. firstname1 is a Professor (H1-B visa) in xxx university (firstname1's Homepage: xxx.edu/xxx). firstname2 is here to accompany firstname1. firstname1 misses his parents very much, so we invite them to visit us this fall. firstname1's parents are farmers. firstname1's father, firstname3 firstname3, is also the village leader and a veterinarian. Actually, he is one of the best veterinarians in his hometown. firstname1's father will be 60 by the end of this year. We want to celebrate his birthday as well as the Chinese New Year here in US.

They plan to stay with us for about six months. Please find their draft plan below.
(1) October: Settle down; visit firstname1's university and cityname1 area.
(2) November: Visit xxx University

firstname1's parents will return to China in due date for the following reasons.
(1) They have close relatives and friends in China. They all live in China and have very close relationship. They will go back to reunion with their parents and other relatives.
(2) They have one house and farm in China.
(3) They don’t know English. They enjoy the life in China.

亲爱的爸爸妈妈：
时间过得真快，自去年7月来美国，转眼已经大半年了。你们在家好吗？
首先我先介绍一下我们在这边的情况。我们一家都很好。名字1去年8月底开始教书，第一学期很快就过去了，现在是第二学期。名字1做得很棒！名字2也没闲着，除了细心照顾一家人的饮食起居，每天都在努力适应美国的生活，坚持学习英语，也交了不少新的朋友。名字3也很好。他现在读学前班，今年下半年开始读幼儿园。
爸爸妈妈，我们真的很想你们。我们想邀请你们今年秋天一起来美国看看，在城市1及周边城市转转，体验一下美国的文化。今年年底是爸爸60岁生日，希望你们能够过来一起过生日，同时过农历春节。
下面是我给你们安排的初步行程，等你们过来之后再具体决定。
(1) 十月：稍作休息，参观名字1工作的大学、城市1及周边地区；
(2) 十一月：参观某某大学；
(3) 十二月：参观城市2；

Letter to firstname1’s Parents

Dear Dad and Mom,

How time flies! It has been half a year since we left home last July. How are you doing recently? Hope everything is fine at your end.
To brief you some of our work and lives in City1, we have been doing great. firstname1 has worked very hard ever since he came to xxx University. firstname1 actually does a good job in teaching. firstname2 is busy too. Besides taking care of the family, she studies English every day.
We miss you very much. We want to invite you to visit us and enjoy the America culture this summer. And celebrate Dad's 60th birthday and the Chinese New Year.

三、预约签证
两周前，爸妈在国内照相，把电子版发过来，我在网上填了DS160表，缴费。10天前（4月7日）预约的时候只有5月中旬的。先约了5月8日。4月8日，看到有4月份的，就在网上改到4月17日上午10：15。
开始给爸妈订了领事馆旁边的友谊宾馆，后来看网上的评价比较差，爸妈又觉得贵，就取消了。然后订了小憩驿站SOHO沸城店，看网上的评价很好，步行到领事馆10分钟。手机在 qunar.com的app上订的，豪华单间大床，128元，返35元。

爸妈4月16日从外地做长途汽车到成都，打车去宾馆。

四、签证过程
下面是爸妈口述的过程，具体细节可能有出入。

爸妈4月17日上午大概9点多进去，11点左右出来。
进门查身份证、护照、DS160。
进去后检查DS160的有4个窗口，指纹有4个窗口，签证有7个窗口。

指纹，大概50岁的女士。
签证官，大概50岁的亚裔女士。
