1/22北京H-1b过

1个多月前约的今天7:30，昨天去踩点时警卫弟弟说去晚点也没事。于是今天几乎8点才进使馆，存包，交材料，按指纹，都挺顺利。面谈过程如下：

（我先交上I-160，护照和I-797）
"So you work at XXX University."
"Yes."
"What do you do?"
"I am a postdoc working on blah blah..."
"Do you have a CV?"
"Yes. Here is my CV in English, and here it's in Chinese..."
（VO收了英文简历，又要research statement。于是我交上research plan。）
"Do you have a CV of your boss at XXX University?"
"Yes. Here it is."（交上老板的简历）
（VO开始翻看我老板的简历，还在电脑上敲啥东西。我看他似乎怀疑我现在工作的真实性，主动提出给他看我的学校ID）
"This is my ID with XXX University if you want to take a look."
"No that won't be necessary. （但是VO还是扫了一眼我的ID） Is this the first time you're applying for a US visa?"
"No, it's actually my, ummmm, fifth time."
（拿出旧护照）
"Oh, so did you lose your passport?"
"No, it expired, so I got it renewed."
"Oh I see."
(VO接着研究我旧护照上的签证页）"I don't see your visa for the last entry...."
"It's on there, I can show you."
"Oh I found it. So the last time you were with YYYYYY University."
"Yes, the last time I was working for a different institute. That's the reason I have to come for an interview today."
"I see."
（继续翻简历，在电脑上敲东西）
这时，我其实已经做好被check的准备了，因为以前签证（3次F1,1次H-1吧）虽然每次都通过，但是这次是耗时最长的。而且这位VO明显不是很友好（我队伍前面的人至少有一人被拒，两个被check，一对签旅游的夫妇通过）。这时我的念头是，如果被check，我有没有可能说点什么争取一下。。。

这时VO材料都收了。我看他没打算还我护照的样子，心里开始想，难道我今天运气好？然后VO说，"you have been approved."我说，"Thank you very much, have a good day"，然后拿条出门取包上邮局。这时大约是9:30，OVER。
