[签证经历] B2 广州 03/30/2009 通过

My mom went to Guangzhou for her B-2 Visa interview the second time and she got her visa. The first time she went there was the end of February and she got rejected. The visa officer didn't look at any of the supporting material and rejected her for the fist time. So, I didn't change much of the material for this time except that I modified the invitation letter and addded a new bank statement. I also told my mom that she must hand the material to the visa officer this time even though he/she doesn't ask for it.

This time, the officer asked her several common questions, such as how many kids you have?, your pension?, whom do you live with... He also looked at the letter and some other material from us, but very briefly. He passed her visa application in less than a couple of minutes. A little bit longer this time, my mom was asked for one question only the first time and got rejected. So rediculous.

As a conclusion, I think the US visa application process really sucks (as everyone knows). If you believe that you got rejected for no reason, just go and try again. The time gap between two applications doesn't matter either. I guess sometimes the US embassy may just want more applicaiton fees.
