Old/expired passport is necessary for visa interview?
Old/expired passport is necessary for visa interview? I shredded my old passport since it has already expired for more than 5 years. The visa interview website requires "all old passports" for visa interview and it says, "Applications without all of these items will not be accepted."
Has anyone had the experience of being asked for old passport but did not have it? Any suggestions? Am I going to be rejected because of that? Or visa application will not be accepted? Thanks!

first of all, you should not have shredded your shredded your old passport. it has the visa stamps which are the proof you have been issued visas by US.
if you have already done so, it is not a big deal. they will not deny your application just because you can't present your old passports. it may lead to longer AP etc.
