The reason we apply VISAs one by one is to esure that one of us can get the VISA , then he(she) can accompany my parents.
Just as you say , it's difficult for my wife to apply B2 in the circumstances. But , which excuse can increase the possibility ? I am so confused ...

I will feel weird if you guys apply VISAs one by one. But you can try your luck.
Why does your LP have to go with you? 4 people will be kind of crowded for your sister's home. :D
