You have concerns for the secured transaction, which is very normal. However, the travel agents have their concerns too. They are afraid of you using a stolen credit card and other people's information to buy ticket, AKA credit card fraud.
If you hate to give them so much information, you can use check. the only problem is you have to wait the check to be cleared before they can issue you ticket.

我也是这样付款的，现在主要是航空公司对使用信用卡付款的客人审查的很严格，一般只允许使用乘客本人的信用卡付款，不接受非乘客本人或借用他人信用卡付款（UA不接受信用卡付款），所以航空公司会要求代理让客人填写信用卡授权表及复印相关证件和所使用的信用卡复印件。我已经使用这样的付款方式好几次了，都没有什么问题。一般代理是绝对不敢把你的信用卡信息泄露出去的，因为这是违法的，如有这样的问题出现，您有权对该代理提出法律上的诉讼，并要求赔偿所带来的损失。
