上海中信银行代签服务(免面谈）多少天可以拿到签证？i heard it is 10 days, don't know if it is 10 working days or 10 calendar days from the date 中信银行 takes your application.
Also, i read in the I-156 form instruction, there is a pager number, if you don't have, you are supposed to fill in 1111, I forgot to do that - but remembered that I didn't even know this last time and my parents got the visa without problem - so is this really needed? I already generated the I-156 forms and emailed to my parents in China, kind of hesitant to do it again.
3rd question is about tax benefits if my parents stay 180 days. last year, they were here 180 days, and we can claim some tax benefits for them since they stayed from May to Nov., but this time, they will cross the year boundary(come this Nov.) , so don't know if they stay full 180 days from Nov., will we still be able to claim the tax benefits?

first question it really depends. my parents applied twice in Shenyang through ZhongXin and they get visa within 4 business days.
2. it doesn't matter.
3. no. calendar year only. if they come again in 2010, the two stays can be added up.

hope this will be the case with my parents as well!
Unfortunately, they went to 上海中信银行 to submit their application yesterday, since my mom lost her passport(she just got a new one), and she was told she will have to go back to my hometown to get the 遗失证明 from 公安局, man, what a hassle! For any parents who will have similar situation, please make sure you do this before you go to submit your application.
Another question: on I-157, item 12 and 17, since I didn't have the Chinese information at the time, so left it blank, but told my father to fill in the Chinese version and ask 上海中信银行 staff to help translate into English when they submit the application. Then, 1) he forgot to ask this; 2) 上海中信银行 staff either didn't notice English part is empty or they didn't care(thought they are supposed to make sure the completeness of the form even though they cannot garanttee the accuracy of the info. Good news is they didn't submit the application and will have to wait until they get 遗失证明 from 公安局.
But still, I want to know if there is only Chinese info filled for those 2 items, will it be OK? I will for sure translate them into English before my parents submit just to make sure they are not denied visa for incompleteness of the form.

I haven't received my visa for 24 days without any notice. Even my flight has to be rescheduled.

wow, 24 days, what kind of visa you are applying? H1-B or B1/B2? Have you called to check why it takes so long?
