where i live doesn't have any big asian food market, so i wonder if my parents are allowed to bring dried vegetable to the U.S. (such as dried mushroom, dried eggplant...)? thank you!
thanks for your reply, i called continental airline yesterday and got transfered to a few different departments, nobody seems to be sure about this. I guess i have to tell my parents just to be careful what they are bring over.

I think you can. I did bring in dried mushroom and dried bean. But I was not checked by the custom at that time.

I brought some dry mushroom. But for the bean, I am not sure whether it will be treated as seeds. However, the seeds is not allowed.
