check没有退797，也没有给任何条子

the 797 is supposed to be returned to you with the passport together after the check is cleared.

I have the same situation. Did the officer said if you got the visa?
They took my passport, 797, employee varification letter, old I-20 copies. No ticket. Just said that they would call me after it was ready.
Don't know what to do.

I have not heard anything from the Consulate yet. Tomorrow will be three weeks from my interview date. Called the DOS number everyday but always told it is pending. I have my employer fax and email the Consulate and don't know it is helpful or not. Looks like there is nothing else we can do but wait.

I tried to call 028-8558-3992. But they refuse to give me status update and just said they will call me once it is done. If you know a phone number that can reach a VO, please post it here.

Who is your VO? My VO was young American guy.

I think my VO is the same guy. Mean and cold. Did you see another post today that a guy was checked in Chengdu since September and still not cleared? Now I am quite scared.

My case approved. Called and picked up the passport.
